Stainless steel – a noble material with an attractive look
Due to high corrosion resistance, stainless steel screws are particularly suitable for outdoor use.
Stainless steel A2 and A4 is a so-called martensitic steel with a chromium content of 10.5-13% and a carbon content of 0.2-1% and has the following properties:
+ has high wear resistance and edge retention
+ usually has a strength class of 70
+ has limited chemical resistance
+ is usually not magnetizable
+ is well converted
+ is hardenable and temperable
+ has optimized corrosion resistance
+ impresses with improved ductility
+ can be machined
+ has low temperature properties at – 40 °C with appropriate treatment
+ offers safe, low-stress production
+ is internationally standardized
Is stainless steel magnetic?
Stainless steel itself is not actually magnetic, but ferritic stainless steels and deformed fasteners such as washers and nuts can be magnetic!
